This is the current release version, but version 3 (below) is now the recommended download. Version 2 may pose compatibility problems with Windows Vista and, in some cases, with Windows XP Pro. These problems have been eliminated in version 3.

Version 3.0.4 (pre-release)

This is now the recommended version. It contains all the functionality of version 2 plus portfolio capabilities and is fully Vista compatible. To learn more about this version, you can access the updated help files from the installed application. The following help file items have been updated for version 3: Quick Start, What's New in Version 3 (Introduction), and Getting Data into the Program (Input Data). These files can be accessed from the Getting Started screen that appears when the program starts. To download and install the application and help files, click the download link below.

Includes: portfolio analysis, plotting vs. date/time, detailed performance reports, user-selected number and currency formatting for non-US trading accounts, Vista compatible. The help files have been ported from version 2 with updates for version 3 in the files accessed through the Getting Started screen.

Not yet implemented: portfolio optimization, correlation analysis. Help files have not been fully updated.

Version 3 is a free upgrade for version 2 licensees. If you're a current licensee of version 2 and you wish to activate version 3, please email the 9-digit registration number from the trial/registration screen to support@Adaptrade.com. The registration number is the 9-digit number found on the lower portion of the Trial screen that appears when you run the installed program. The activation code will be generated and emailed back as soon as possible (usually within one business day). Once you've activated version 3, future releases of version 3 will install on the same computer with no activation required. For installation on a second (or new) computer, please submit the registration number for that computer.

Installation Instructions:

For best results, right-click on the download button and select "Save Target As..." Make a note of the location where the file is saved on your computer. After the download is complete, locate the .exe file and double-click on it to start the installation. Follow the prompts to complete the installation. After installation, the MSA program icon should appear on your desktop and in the programs list in your start menu. By default, the software is installed in the folder Program Files\Adaptrade Software\Market System Analyzer 2.0\ (or 3.0 for version 3).

Each major version (1, 2, 3) is a separate program and can be installed without uninstalling the previous version. Minor upgrades, such as 3.0.0 to 3.0.2, may require uninstalling the previous minor version first. For example, before installing 3.0.2, it may be necessary to uninstall 3.0.0 first, although you do not need to uninstall version 2.

It's recommended that after you first open the program, you select the help topics from the Getting Started screen displayed when the program first opens.
